Delfin Alan Maypa Jr.

June 8, 1957 – December 20, 2023

We honor and celebrate the Inspiring Life of DELFIN (AL) ALAN MAYPA JR. AL will be cherished and remembered through the legacy of his family and friends.

A LIFE WELL LIVED

Our family is saddened to announce that on Wednesday, December 20th, 2023, Delfin Alan Maypa Jr., age 65, was called back home to be with our Heavenly Father. We will miss you immensely as you were our “go to” when life got rough, you were our sanity in this crazy world, and our comfort when we needed clarity.

Born in Orange California, Delfin, or Al, as his family and friends knew him, was a man of many talents. He could create and build almost anything from scratch. If you had a problem, he would always do his absolute best to help you fix it.

Al had a love for the game of pool. He could often be found behind a cue or watching a tournament.

His love for animals was unmatched. He cared for all kinds of animals during his time on earth and we are sure each one of them would be grateful for the attention they received.

Al was a lover of all music. He played guitar, bass, drums from his soul; not reading music. He loved listening to his favorite artists whenever he could.

His gift of making others smile was his superpower. Al’s sense of humor was infectious. He was quite the jokester who allowed you to laugh even in the darkest times.

Most of all, Al was an incredible husband, father, and friend. He always put his family first before anything else. He made sure we were taken care of.

He will be missed eternally by all who knew him. We can rest easy knowing he is in a place with no pain and walking in pure happiness and joy.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother Dorothy Bantao, mother Dorothy Enrile and brother Peter Maypa and is survived by his wife Lisa Maypa and son Jason Maypa.

Being a very private man, no services are scheduled. In lieu of this, please donate to your favorite animal charity.

Additionally, please sign the digital guest book below to leave a loving message or positive memory of AL with the family.

    Lisa,
I am so sorry for the loss of your husband, Delfin. Words cannot express my sadness for you and the family on your tremendous loss. I pray that the God of Comfort provide you and your family the strength to get through the days, months, years to come. No one can fill the void of a loved one, but please know that we are here for you to help in any way we can. One day soon we look forward to seeing our loved one again (John 5: 28,29).
    Love you friend.
