You’re will be missed. Memories of you opening up your home us From SomD last year during our trip to Las Vegas.
You demonstrated love for your family and you will be greatly missed. We take comfort in knowing that the word says to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
My condolences to the McDowell Family, John my heart is so broken I’m really really going to miss you. I Love You ❤️ ❤️❤️❤️
I am very sorry to hear about the loss of Past Master John McDowell which is a term (Past Master) that means that he was a past president of his Masonic lodge. He was a credit to our fraternity and organization (The Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge Of Nevada) . His kindness and Masonic work ethnics will live on through his masonic Lodge, Phillip Bell Jr. Lodge number #5. I thank God and his family for the opportunity to have known him. He truly believed in equality and community. He talked highly of his Son and Daughter.
Sincerely yours,
Kenneth Askins

This doesn’t feel real, I don’t want it to be real, I don’t like that I have to continue this road without the man that raised me. It’s too soon for me, we talked about so many plans, my mentor and brother. We were going so excited for the future ahead of us.
Thank you for your impact, your compassion, your teaching, and most importantly your brotherly love. I will never forget the example you laid. My heart hurts, my wife hurts, you truly inserted yourself into my family and I’ll always love you for it. There’s too much to say and not enough space for it.
I’m going to miss you Big Dog!!

To the family of John McDowell. After reading all the beautiful things said about John I’m so sorry I never had the opportunity to meet him. I’m his first cousin originally from Delhi Louisiana myself. My Mom and Uncle Harry were brother and sister. Ruby Dean (Monk) was her name. Please family accept my deepest condolences on the loss of this remarkable man. May God give you peace in knowing he’s resting eternally with our Lord and Savior. God bless you all my family!

John certainly left his mark here on earth, so much so that there is an enormous void now that he has transitioned! To have known him was to know a deeper part of yourself; there was so much that could be learned from him. Meeting him greatly enriched our lives; he was most certainly… ONE OF A KIND!
I am thankful for the moments shared, the wisdom and knowledge gained, and the genuine friendship that grew over the years. May his name continue to be spoken and his deeds forever remembered. Rest in eternal power!
My condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the family. May God give you peace and comfort during this time of bereavement. Much love family.
Expressing my deepest condolences on behalf of the Spivey family. Praying for God’s comfort to his family and loved ones.
I’m so for your loss
My heart is truly heavy as it is difficult to express my heartfelt condolences to such a wonderful family.
I am grateful for the moments I was able to share with Mr. McDowell as a child, teenager and an adult. The smile that Jaimee would put on his face was unforgettable as we attempted to persuade him to allow us to attend an event with friends.
It is clear that he loved his children and would always make room for their friends. He always treated me like family and never passed up the opportunity to joke with me. He will truly be missed.
My prayers are with the entire family and I pray that each and every one of you will have peace.
