I am very sorry to hear about the loss of Past Master John McDowell which is a term (Past Master) that means that he was a past president of his Masonic lodge. He was a credit to our fraternity and organization (The Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge Of Nevada) . His kindness and Masonic work ethnics will live on through his masonic Lodge, Phillip Bell Jr. Lodge number #5. I thank God and his family for the opportunity to have known him. He truly believed in equality and community. He talked highly of his Son and Daughter.

    Sincerely yours,

You left an impact on many lives to include mines and your legacy will live on forever in the hearts of many. Blessings to the family and truly sorry for the loss of one of the most influential Men and Masonic Brothers I had the honor of knowing. Thank you for your impact, your compassion, your teaching, and most importantly your brotherly love. I will never forget the example you laid. My heart hurts, my wife hurts, you truly inserted yourself into my family and I’ll always love you for it. There’s too much to say and not enough space for it.

John certainly left his mark here on earth, so much so that there is an enormous void now that he has transitioned! To have known him was to know a deeper part of yourself; there was so much that could be learned from him. Meeting him greatly enriched our lives; he was most certainly… ONE OF A KIND!

I am thankful for the moments shared, the wisdom and knowledge gained, and the genuine friendship that grew over the years. May his name continue to be spoken and his deeds forever remembered. Rest in eternal power!

I am grateful for the moments I was able to share with Mr. McDowell as a child, teenager and an adult. The smile that Jaimee would put on his face was unforgettable as we attempted to persuade him to allow us to attend an event with friends.

It is clear that he loved his children and would always make room for their friends. He always treated me like family and never passed up the opportunity to joke with me. He will truly be missed.
